I dedicated my book, The Astro & Scorpio Story, to Barbara Deppe. Her dedication to the well being of animals at her Refuge in Costa Rica is inspiring. She came to the Guanacaste Province over 30 years ago from her native Germany. She regularly takes in stray dogs and cats and holds spay/neuter clinics to try to stem the population of unwanted animals. Currently she is housing almost 100 dogs and holds adoption events to find them forever homes. I was able to raise a $1,000 donation from the sales of the book.
